Musical compositions

Demoscene productions, as well as modules created for competitions at demoscene parties, became public-domain works almost automatically.

Therefore it is assumed that publishing these compositions — given their public availability and age (some over 30 years old) — is a fully legal action that does not infringe any copyrights.

Because the collection gathered here is quite large (over 1,000 files), some of them may lack information about their authors/producers. This may be because they have not yet been fully catalogued (the project is a hobby, so it is developed when the creators have time), or simply because no information about the author is available.

To address any concerns, every module, author, group and production page features a “Report a change” option.

The purpose of this option is to get in touch about changes: completing data, correcting mistakes, or reporting infringements should a module or its content violate any rights.

Music players

To create the playback mechanisms on the website, solutions and inspirations, and sometimes code fragments, were used from the following sources:

  • Chaos Music Composer, Music ProTracker, Theta Music Composer players by Marcin "Jaskier" Lewandowski
  • Future Composer player by Zenon "Magnus" Mikołajczyk
  • ASAP by Piotr "0xF" Fusik

and analyzed large amounts of documentation and format descriptions available on the Internet.
