About
Tracker Modules is a website dedicated to demoscene tracker music.
Our goal is to preserve old music files from being forgotten, make them easy to find and enable online playback.
How it started
In the heyday of the demoscene, fans of demoscene productions collected soundtracks from their favourite demos, intros and other productions.
Internet access was practically non-existent, so collectors often exchanged music from their collections locally, and in this way their collections grew.
The present day
Today, in an era dominated by music streaming services and MP3 collections, tracker music is a relic of the past for most people, much like the demoscene itself.
But there is still a group of enthusiasts who want to save tracker compositions from oblivion. This is the idea behind this website.
Why this website?
There are websites on the internet dedicated to the demoscene that even share tracker files, but the aim of our website is not to compete with the wonderful Pouet or Demozoo — merely to gently fill a niche by providing an online catalogue of tracker compositions with links to demoscene productions and authors.
Moreover, our website is probably the only one on the internet where you can listen to modules in less common formats, e.g. those known from the Atari Falcon: DTM, MGT and NTK, or the Amiga format AON (Art of Noise).
Collaborate with us
Many compositions in our collection are anonymous — if you know a bit more about them, please get in touch. On every module, author, group or production page there is a “Report a change” link that allows you to contact us to make corrections or additions.
We warmly invite you to join us on a journey into the world of demoscene tracker music!
